Overview

Caloundra State High School is located on the coast, at the southern end of the Sunshine Coast, within walking distance to six local beaches. The school has a distinct junior secondary and senior school curriculum. The school offers a broad curriculum catering for students’ interests in academic and vocational areas, including a wide range of sporting, community and cultural activities. Subjects including tourism and marine studies provide students with immediate links to employment.

An excellent arts program includes visual and performing arts, dance and drama extension, music, stage/concert bands and vocal groups. French and Italian are the language options in Year 8. Significant information and communications technology capacity is provided in the school, with laptops for all students in Years 10, 11 and 12.
