Hobart College is a co-educational Senior High School for students in years 11 and 12. Situated in the Hobart suburb of Mount Nelson, the school is located in a bush setting with views of surrounding mountains.
Hobart College is an exciting learning community with a long history of outstanding academic, sporting and cultural achievements. Hobart College has educated 18 Rhodes Scholars. Rhodes Scholarships provide opportunities for outstanding all-round students to study at the University of Oxford. > Hobart College has strong links with the University of Tasmania through the University College program, which provides opportunities for advanced students to undertake university units whilst at College. In addition the Home Group Program provides information sessions and visits to the university for all students. Hobart College also runs a High Achievers Program to support students in their academic success. The program offers support such as University of Tasmania tasters, lectures, events, activities which explore citizenship, culture and the outdoors, regular meetings with other students for study groups and exam preparation.
