ABOUT THE SCHOOL
Located in Mount Nelson, Hobart, Hobart College is a public school for Year 11 and 12 students, with more than 110 years of tradition in public education in Tasmania. With approximately 1,400 students, the school offers a wide range of academic, professional and vocational options in a diverse, welcoming environment focused on preparing students for university, vocational training and the workforce.
Hobart College offers one of the widest ranges of courses for Years 11 and 12, with TASC and VET options across different fields of study. The campus features excellent academic, sports, arts and practical facilities, including a sustainability centre, a gym, a basketball court and an indoor climbing wall. The school also has a well-established international program that has welcomed students from different countries since 1988.

- UTAS High Achiever Programs: opportunities for high-achieving students to deepen their studies in specific areas and broaden their academic experience before entering university
- Outdoor Education & Outdoor Leadership: hands-on programs including adventure activities and experiences in natural environments, along with training in leadership, safety, planning, navigation, first aid and risk management
- VET & Australian School-based Apprenticeships (ASbA): vocational training and work-based learning options that allow students to combine education, training and work experience while earning nationally recognised qualifications.
